Tragedy as man, 30, dies after crashing car into a tree on Sheffield road

Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Todwick, Sheffield are appealing for witnesses, dash cam footage and information.

Police attended reports of the single vehicle collision at 9.15am yesterday (Sunday 25 October) on Goose Carr Lane, approximately 500 yards from the junction of the A57 Worksop.

A 30-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Police believe the collision may have occurred overnight, between 11pm on Saturday (24 October) and 9am on Sunday (25 October). It is believed that a silver Toyota Yaris had left the carriageway before colliding with a tree.

They are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or believe they captured the vehicle on dash cam.
