Cricket Inn Road, near Park Hill, was closed last night (February 9) due to the strong winds of Storm Ciara making it impassable to vehicles.

The closure remains in place this morning, with buses being diverted.

Stagecoach Yorkshire said its service 25 is not serving Cricket Inn Road or Broad Lane due to the closure.

Service 24, also for Cricket Inn Road, is following a diversion via City road, Manor Oaks Road and White’s Lane in both directions.

There is not yet any indication as to when the road will reopen and drivers are advised to find an alternative route.

A number of other bus services have been cancelled due to damage to the roads.
