Bus passengers in Sheffield have been warned to expect ‘very severe’ disruption due to heavy snowfall forecast in the area.

Travel South Yorkshire said: “Snow and ice is forecast so services may be disrupted and delays are likely. Please allow additional time for your journeys and plan ahead.”
The Met Office is forecasting snow and sleet in Sheffield from 2am tonight until around 3pm tomorrow, Friday, January 8.
People have been told to stay at home during the latest national lockdown, with travel only permitted for limited reasons.
