Snake Pass reopens after motorbike crash

The A57 Snake Pass has now reopened following an earlier motorbike crash.

Emergency services were called to the road at 11:40am this morning, August 2, after the crash involving a single motorbike.

The usually busy road had been closed from the bottom of Sheffield Road to Ladybower Reservoir, causing heavy traffic.

Posting on Twitter this afternoon, the Derbyshire Constabulary High Peak Response team confirmed the road has now reopened and urged motorists to "please take care on the roads on this sunny day.”
