The A57 Snake Pass has been shut since the early hours of this morning (5 January) due to isolated snow showers overnight, Derbyshire County Council said.
A spokesperson added: “We were hoping that we could re-open the road within a few hours, but drifting snow at the top of the pass keeps being blown back onto the road, meaning that we have decided to keep the road closed for the rest of the day.
