Sheffield tram diversions planned for bank holiday due to engineering works

‘Essential engineering works’ on the tram tracks at Hillsborough corner will mean that services to that part of Sheffield will be diverted over the bank holiday weekend.

Stagecoach South Yorkshire have confirmed that a revised service will be in operation on the yellow and blue routes from Saturday 29 to Monday 31 May.

It will mean that yellow trams will operate between Meadowhall and Shalesmoor only, and blue trams will only be operating between Halfway and either Shalesmoor or Cathedral.

Purple routes and the Tram Train will not be affected.

There will be no dedicated rail replacement bus services operating.

Customers affected by these changes may use valid tram tickets on Stagecoach and First bus services in the affected areas. These include services to Hillsborough, Malin Bridge and Penistone Road, close to Leppings Lane.

Normal services will resume on Tuesday, June 1.
