Sheffield road closed for THIRD day as Yorkshire Water warn it won’t reopen for DAYS

Buses were yesterday being diverted for a third day following a burst water main near the city centre.

Wednesday, 5th February 2020, 4:10 pm

The area around Queens Road and Charlotte Road on the A61 was under water when the mains burst on Monday evening, which has sent thousands of gallons of water pouring onto the carriageway.

Following the incident, homes in the area were left without water, and commuters faced long delays getting out of the city centre.

Bus services are being diverted around the are, and traffic is heavy in the area.
