Police seek witnesses to Dearne Valley crash

Police officers have issued a fresh appeal for information following a collision which left a cyclist with a fractured skull.

The cyclist was involved in a crash with a silver Mercedes E class car at the Hemingfield roundabout on the Dearne Valley Parkway at around 7am on Monday, November 23.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Initially, it was thought that the cyclist suffered minor injuries but hospital tests later revealed he suffered a fractured skull. He has since been released from hospital.

“The driver of the Mercedes has been spoken to in connection with the incident but no arrests have been made.

“Did you see the collision? Can you help officers?”
