The officer, from South Yorkshire Police’s off-road team, came across the battered Range Rover which was travelling along London Road.

They said: “I had to have a quick rant in my helmet when I saw what was left of this Range Rover.

“Yes, being driven. I have witnessed a few things over the years but this one went on the OMG list.”

“Unbelievably, it was fully insured. Anyway, it was prohibited from the road by one of our specially-trained officers.

“The owner was left with a can of T cut to make a start on repairing it.”

The team also visited Handsworth later that day where they seized two pit bikes, one without breaks and the other with an exhaust help on by tie wraps.
