Police-led incident leads to rush hour closure of M1 near Rotherham
The M1 near Rotherham is closed this morning due to a police-led incident.

Highways England said the southbound carriageway is closed between Junction 31 for Aston and Junction 30 for Barlborough.
Details of the nature of the police incident being dealt with have not yet been released.
In a tweet, Highways England said: “M1 J31 Aston to J30 Barlborough is closed due to a police led incident.
“Traffic officers are on scene with South Yorkshire Police en route.”
