Police and fire brigade attend three-vehicle collision in Sheffield city centre

Witnesses reported two people being lifted into ambulances on stretchers following a three-vehicle collision on Netherthorpe Road this morning (February 1).

The collision took place on the northbound side between the Brook Hill and Shalesmoor roundabouts.

A statement from South Yorkshire Police said: “This was a three vehicle RTC where both police and fire attended. We received the initial call at around 5:30am.”

The road was closed during the recovery operation and has now re-opened. Traffic is still moving slowly.
