A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after a collision in Barnsley.

The 29-year-old suffered life threatening head injuries after the blue Citroen C2 he was driving ran out of control and crashed head-on with a silver Kia Sportage before smashing into a wall.
Emergency services were alerted to the collision on Rotherham Road, Monk Bretton, at around 9.30am, on Saturday, February 29.
Witnesses should call 101 and quote incident incident 279 of February 29.
