Majority of bus services in South Yorkshire return to normal routes after disruption from snow

Bus services across South Yorkshire have returned to their normal routes after heavy snowfall and ice made roads across the county treacherous this morning.

First South Yorkshire said all its services in Sheffield and Rotherham which were affected by snow have now resumed their normal pre-planned routes.

Its The 32 and 32A services which operate from the Olive Grove Depot, in Sheffield, is currently being diverted as it is unable to serve Standon Road, in Wincobank, due to a burst water main.

Stagecoach Yorkshire said the 25 service between Woodhouse and Bradway will be terminating at Mother Redcap, although the remainder of its other buses in Sheffield are back to their normal route.

The firm’s other services in Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster are all now operating on their pre-planned routes.

Sheffield Council said it will be monitoring the weather forecast overnight, with gritting teams due to go back out from 2am if needed.
