M1 near Sheffield partially closed after ''carriageway defect'
Part of the M1 in South Yorkshire has been closed following a ‘carriageway defect’ this afternoon (Thursday, February 20).

One lane of the motorway is shut on the northbound carriageway, from J36 for Tankersley to J37 for Dodworth.
Highways England advised that traffic officers are on the scene.
Anyone travelling along the M1 this afternoon is being urged to leave plenty of time to complete their journey.
It is not known how long the lane will be closed for.
