Lane closed as lorry overturns on major South Yorkshire road near M1

One lane on a major South Yorkshire road has been closed after a lorry overturned.

Delays are expected on the Dearne Valley Parkway after the heavy goods vehicle overturned near to the petrol station.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the driver appeared to be uninjured and got out of the lorry.

South Yorkshire Police Operations Support tweeted: “Officers are on scene with this overturned HGV on the Dearne Valley Parkway near to the petrol station.

"One lane is open but expect delays whilst we clear it."
