The incident has meant First Buses services X1 and X10 have been diverted to avoid the area.
In a tweet this morning, Travel South Yorkshire said services in both directions would be diverted onto Savile Street and Brightside Lane until the incident is cleared.
South Yorkshire Police have been contacted for information on the incident.
