The A57 Snake Pass through the Peak District is closed for repairs to a landslip – but some drivers are ignoring the road signs.
The major road between Sheffield and Manchester was shut last Monday, October 12, for roadworks, which are scheduled to continue until this Sunday, October 26.
But Derbyshire County Council said: “We've had reports of vehicles, including lorries, ignoring the road closed signs and then having to turn round when they can't get any further. Road is closed to cyclists too.”
