Car flips onto its roof and crashes into parked vehicles on Sheffield street

Police are searching for the driver of a white BMW who ran off after overturning the vehicle and hitting two parked cars on Ringinglow Road in Sheffield.

A member of the public called the police at 1.40pm today (February 3) after the white BMW 116 d sport, which had flipped onto its roof, crashed into a Mercedes and a Honda Civic.

The driver was seen by witnesses getting out of the overturned car and running away from the scene.

Emergency services attended the scene of the collision and police are still there carrying out an investigation.

Overturned car on Ringinglow Road

The road is not closed, however buses are being diverted because of the position of the overturned car in the road.

Stagecoach Yorkshire has announced that service 88 will have to divert via Knowle Lane, Hoober Avenue and will return to its normal route outside High Storrs School on Ringinglow Road.
