Those that need to make essential journeys on public transport are urged to check before they travel at www.travelsouthyorkshire.com.

Timetable information will be available at www.travelsouthyorkshire.com/servicechanges from 6pm on Saturday, April 18.

Customers can also get the latest information by calling Traveline on 01709 515151 between 8am and 6pm, seven days a week, or on Travel South Yorkshire’s social media channels.

Bus services have remained operational throughout the coronavirus epidemic with drivers qualifying as key workers under the Government's guidelines.

However, increased cleaning is taking place on the vehicles themselves and in the interchanges, while contactless paying is being encouraged wherever possible.
