Tram services cancelled after 'passenger falls ill' on-board in Sheffield city centre

A tram service has been cancelled this morning after a passenger fell ill near Sheffield city centre.

Stagecoach Supertram said that trams are being forced to turn at Cathedral and Shalesmoor due to a passenger falling ill.

The passenger is currently awaiting an ambulance at City Hall with services cancelled between Shalesmoor and Cathedral.

The Blue Line will be operating Malin Bridge - Shalesmoor & Cathedral - Halfway and the Yellow Line will be operating Middlewood - Shalesmoor & Cathedral - Meadowhall Interchange.

First South Yorkshire said the services between City to University and Hillsborough will be accepting tram tickets in these areas only.
