Trains to and from South Yorkshire are being delayed or cancelled today as the cold snap continues to wreak havoc across the region.

A number of Northern and East Midlands services are cancelled or delayed, including the 11:27 Chesterfield to Sheffield, 12:27 Chesterfield to Sheffield and 13:27 Chesterfield to Sheffield trains, which are not running.

The London St Pancras International - Nottingham - Sheffield service is running on a reduced timetable and passengers are warned to expect trains to be much busier than normal and subject to late notice delays or alterations.

Passengers are advised to only travel to or from London St Pancras International 'unless it is absolutely necessary to do so'.

Northern services between Doncaster and Adwick are suspended and trains between Sheffield and Manchester were suspended earlier and may still be subject to delays and cancellations for the rest of the day.
