POLICE in South Yorkshire want animal lovers to help with noise and crowd control training for the force’s horses due to be used at the Olympics.

People are invited to the South Yorkshire Police stables at Ring Farm, Carrs Lane, Barnsley, on Friday, at 9.30am, to take part in the exercise.

Participants will be asked to wave flags and make a noise to get the horses used to crowds.

To take part, call Sergeant Melissa Gill on 07770 831527.
