Police helped to control traffic before the HGV could be safely moved but the van which had come to rest along one of the lanes at the entrance to the A617 northbound dual carriageway has yet to be moved.

Staff at the nearby Derbyshire Times office, on Spire Walk, confirmed there have previously been near-misses and minor collisions at the same junction.

Witnesses to the road traffic collision can call Derbyshire Constabulary on 101.
