Traffic chaos in Doncaster village as high volume of residents queue to use tip

Motorists travelling near to the Armthorpe Dumpit site in Armthorpe road are currently experiencing significant delays, as residents queue to use the recycling centre.

A First buses spokesman confirmed this is also affecting services travelling in the Armthorpe area.

They said: "Traffic delays on services 81/82 due to the amount of cars trying to get into Armthorpe Dumpit site and causing the roads to get gridlocked.

"Traffic is queuing as far back as intake outbound and well into the village inbound, service 81/82 are running up to 40 mins late."

Most bus services across the borough are also believed to be delayed by between 15-30 minutes this afternoon, due to traffic congestion in and around the town centre.
