Traffic backed up for miles after crash on M1 near SheffieldÂ
Motorists are continuing to battle against traffic chaos on the M1 near Sheffield this morning following a crash.Â
The crash happened at around 8.40am on the M1 southbound between J35 and J34.Â
Traffic officers and South Yorkshire Police attended the incident and have been forced to deal with a fluid spill in the carriageway.Â
Highways England said that two lanes were initially closed but one of the lanes has now been opened.Â
Contractors remain on site dealing with the spill as traffic continues to build up.Â
