Watch: Sheffield tram stuck at stop after car ends up on tracks
The car appears undamaged as the driver sits in the vehicle with a passenger beside them
This video - taken on Monday evening (May 4) - shows a car blocking a tram after ending up on the tracks at Netherthorpe Road.
In footage taken from flats opposite at around 9pm a Supertram worker can be seen at the driver’s window of the silver Mercedes talking to its driver.
The car appears undamaged as the driver sits in the vehicle with a passenger beside them - only several metres from the front end of the tram. So far it is unclear whether how the driver ended up on the tram tracks.
During the hour that followed police were at the scene assisting with the removal of the vehicle from the tracks. They have been contacted for a comment.
