Traffic worries and long delays across Sheffield after rush-hour 'police incident' on M1

Bus services are delayed in Sheffield this morning due to an earlier incident which closed the M1 during rush hour.

First South Yorkshire said that traffic diverted to avoid a ‘police-led incident’ on the M1 incident, between Junction 31 for Aston and 30 for Barlborough, ‘is having a significant impact on the whole network’.

Its 27, 28, 29, X54, X55, 208 and X5 services are the main ones affected.

The southbound M1, which was closed earlier, has now re-opened.
