These photos show the aftermath of the collision on London Road, just south of the city centre, involving a number 56 bus and a grey car.
The crash happened at the junction with Boston Street today, Thursday, January 30.
Police, firefighters and paramedics remain at the scene at 5.15pm, buses are being diverted and one witness said traffic is at a ‘standstill’.
