Services have been suspended since last Thursday after heavy rainfall left the line flooded at Rotherham Parkgate.

Now Stagecoach Supertram has announced the Tram Train services will resume as normal from the start of service tomorrow, Saturday, November 16.

In a tweet, the operator apologised to customers for the recent disruption to journeys along the route.

Last week’s deluge caused widespread disruption and devastation across the region.

Sheffield’s flood defences installed after the 2007 floods held but Rotherham and Doncaster were badly hit.

Many homes were flooded and hundreds of people were evacuated while Rotherham’s Parkgate retail park and railway station were left submerged.
