Sheffield Road Tinsley: Major road near huge IKEA closed this morning

Sheffield Council has warned residents to avoid the area as work is carried out to try to solve the problem and carry out repairs.
The authority’s Streets Ahead team, which is responsible for maintenance of the city’s roads, has issued a statement on the problem this morning.

Hide AdThey said: “Sheffield Road (Tinsley) remains closed this morning between IKEA & TGI Fridays due to a burst water main.
“Yorkshire Water are on-site. Please avoid the area if possible. We will keep you updated.”
The road was closed last night, and officials say a section of road is damaged as a result of the burst.
