Sheffield road hit by flash floods

Heavy rain caused flash flooding on Chesterfield Road in Heeley.

Footage posted on social media showed several motorists stranded on Sunday as the road was submerged by flood water that appeared to be gushing down from the nearby railway line.

A video showed a vehicle turning back while several others drove through the water. The Met Office had previously issued a warning for thunderstorms.
