Road reopens following car crash in Rotherham town centre

Emergency services were called to Ship Hill, in Rotherham, following reports of a car crash shortly before 12pm today.

Fire crews from Rotherham and Elm Lane stations attended the scene.

Operator First South Yorkshire said: “Ship hill is closed due to a RTC buses are operating via Mansfield road inbound to city only.”

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue said that only one car was involved in the collision.

The occupants of the car have been taken to hospital following the crash.

Police said the road has now reopened to both vehicles and pedestrians.
