Road in Barnsley re-open after police incident

Officers attended the incident near Tesco, and traffic is backed up around Stairfoot roundabout.

Bus operator Stagecoach confirmed the closure, adding that services are being diverted.

A statement from Stagecoach said: “Due to an earlier non-bus accident, police have closed the road outside Tesco's Wombwell in both directions. Services 22x/226/222 will be diverting from Wombwell - Low Valley - Darfied - Ardsley Hill both directions.”
