A multi-storey car park could be built in £11m plans to upgrade one of Sheffield’s busiest Park & Rides.
A new car park at Meadowhall Interchange would stand on the car park nearest the station, adding an extra 175 spaces, plans show.

The two existing car parks, which have 328 spaces, are often full by 8am on weekdays, according to the South Yorkshire Mayor Combined Authority.
Its plans include a new lift, step-free access to rail platforms, new paths and cycle tracks, more accessible and EV parking spaces, improved lighting, CCTV and signage.
Meadowhall Interchange has a bus station, railway station and a footbridge over the River Don into Meadowhall shopping centre.

The megamall as 12,000 free parking spaces. Last year it introduced a 14-hours-a-week rule, backed by a £100 charge, to deter commuters and staff.
It also has a 1,400-space staff car park.
South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard urged people to take part in a consultation.
He said: “The plans for Meadowhall Interchange Park & Ride are a practical part of a bigger vision - making it easier for us to choose the bus, tram or train, to get to work, to education, and to the opportunities we deserve.
“We want to hear from everyone - whether you already use the Park & Ride or you’ve never set foot on one.
“Tell us what’s working, and what isn’t, so we can get this right. Because the People’s Network is about all of us shaping what comes next.”
