Pedestrian in critical condition in hospital after being hit by car in Sheffield during snowy weather

A pedestrian is in hospital in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Sheffield on Wednesday night.

The 44-year-old Sheffield man was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa in Staniforth Road at around 10.15pm.

The car was travelling in the direction of Greenland Road when the incident happened.

The pedestrian suffered multiple serious injuries and is in hospital in a critical condition. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police are keen to speak to witnesses, including the driver of white car seen driving in the opposite direction along Staniforth Road immediately after the collision. Call police on 101.
