No trains running between Sheffield and Worksop due to flooding

No trains will be running between Sheffield and Worksop for the rest of the evening due to flooding.

Services between Sheffield and Lincoln Central are unable to run in both directions due to flooding on the railway line near Kiveton Park.

Network Rail staff are currently on the location and report it is unsafe for trains to run from Sheffield towards Worksop and beyond.

The 7:26pm Lincoln Central to Leeds service was allowed to run past the affected area, but the line was closed afterwards.

Operator Northern said rail replacement transport has been requested but this is proving difficult to source.

“An update will be provided when this is confirmed,” they added.
