Major Rotherham road closed

A major road in Rotherham has been closed to traffic this morning.

Hooton Road in Kilnhurst is currently closed between the junctions of Glasshouse Lane and Denaby Lane.

South Yorkshire Police said at about 6am the road “will remain closed in both directions until further notice.”

The force has not said why the closure is in place yet.
