Here are the roadworks in and around Chesterfield over Christmas

If you’re heading home for Christmas, or out and about seeing family, you might want to take note of these roadworks that will be in place over the festive period around Sheffield.

Manchester Road, Stocksbridge – Traffic control (stop/go boards) will be in place until January 4. A6102 Langsett Road North – Traffic control (stop/go boards) will be in place until January 4. Popple Street – The road will be closed until December 24, while a burst water main is being repaired. Osgathorpe Road – The road will be closed until December 24, while a burst water main is being repaired. Sorby Street – Road will be closed until January 31, while repairs to the cobbled street are undertaken. Mowbray Street – The road will be closed from Mowbray Street - junction of Bridgehouses Roundabout/Shalesmoor to Harvest Lane, until March 31. Alma Street – Partially closed until April 6. Pitsmoor Road – Partially closed until March 31. Derek Dooley Way – Partially closed until March 31. Nursery Street – Partially closed until April 10. Corporation Street – Partially closed until March 31. Blonk Street – Partially closed until April 10. Snig Hill – Partially closed until April 10 Rockingham Street – Partially closed until September 2. Clarkehouse Road, Broomhill – Temporary traffic lights will be in place until December 24, while Yorkshire Water repair a burst water main. Sheldon Street – Partially closed until February 21. Abbeydale Road South – A lane will be closed until December 23, while Yorkshire Water repair a burst water main. High Lane, Ridgeway – Temporary traffic lights will be in place until December 23.
