The A628 Woodhead Pass was closed yesterday but has re-opened today, although motorists are advised not to drive above 30mph.

A caravan being towed along the road yesterday before it was closed blew over as winds reached gusts of 80mph.

The speed limit for the Tinsley Viaduct on the M1 has been set to 40mph due to the wind and high sided vehicles are banned from using the Snake Pass this morning.
