Drivers facing long delays after crash closed two lanes of M1 near Sheffield

The accident took place on the southbound carriageway of the motorway, between J32 for Sheffield and J31 for Worksop.

Higways England say normal traffic conditions are expected by 3.15pm.

Traffic officers and South Yorkshire Police are currently at the scene.

Motorists are advised to take an alternative route if possible, and allow extra time for your journey, as traffic is currently heavy in the area.
