South Yorkshire Police warned motorists of lengthy delays after the collision on the busy dual carriageway.
The road was closed between Broomhill roundabout and Cathill roundabout. The incident happened at around 2pm on Monday December 2 with a spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police confirming: “The Dearne Valley Parkway is currently closed due to a road traffic collision.”
