Busy road before Sheffield Parkway blocked after car crash

A busy Sheffield road has been closed after a road traffic collision.

South Yorkshire Police said the collision occurred at the junction of Handsworth Road and Main Road at around 2.25pm.

The collision has also forced a bus company to divert its services.

First South Yorkshire tweeted at 2.34pm that Handsworth Road is blocked outbound just before Sheffield Parkway.

They said the services are diverting via Prince of Wales Road and Sheffield Parkway to Handsworth Asda, but their inbound services are unaffected.
