The bus broke down on Bole Hill Road at around 10.30am today (February 8).
First South Yorkshire advised travellers that services 95 and 95a will be diverted in both directions to Hillsborough, missing out Tinker Lane.
Traffic is building up in the area as vehicles struggle to pass, and the broken down bus is removed from the scene.
The bus company apologised to passengers for any inconvenience.
