Towns picked in worst place to live book

Have your say

Three South Yorkshire towns have been included in the latest list of the 100 worst places to live in Britain.

Sheffield, Doncaster and Barnsley have all been included after nominations from members of the public.

Publishers of the list, who produced the book Crap Town: 50 Worst Places To Live, will cut the list by half to 50 nominations following a social media campaign on Twitter to produce a follow up book, Crap Town Returns, which will be available in October.

They are urging people to tweet the name of the short-listed town either #craptown or #notacraptown to determine which towns make the book and which are spared.

The first edition of Crap Towns was published back in 2003 and sold more than 100,000 copies.

Worksop, Luton, Bradford, Hartlepool and Morcambe are among others on the list.
