The official Tour de France Grand Départ trophy is on display in the Peak District today.

It will remain at Bakewell visitor centre, in the old market hall, until Sunday June 22.

Tony Favell, Peak District National Park Authority chairman, said: “It is an honour for us to host the trophy and we hope lots of people will take the chance to come and see it close up.

“With the race less than a month away, knowing the trophy will be in Bakewell really brings home the fact that this fantastic world class event is nearly here.”
