Tough trek to help soldiers

Have your say

A SHEFFIELD man is joining fundraisers from across the country for a Bike, Hike and Paddle event in aid of injured soldiers.

Ewan Stuchfield will mountain bike from Inverness to Fort William, then hike up Ben Nevis, and paddle in kayaks back to Inverness along the Caledonian Canal, covering 152 miles in seven days. He is taking part because his brothers both served in the military overseas.

The group is raising money for charity Afghan Heroes. Before setting out on June 15, the group is holding an auction - also in aid of the charity - to sell items including a bottle of House of Commons whisky donated by Ewan’s local MP, Meg Munn, who represents Sheffield Heeley.
