A group of fitness fans are planning a sponsored weight-lifting competition to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity in honour of a five-year-old cancer patient.
Around 25 people, including members of Sheffield Predators American Football Club, will ‘Lift For Phoebe’ at Structure Sport and Fitness on Duchess Road, on Tuesday.
They are fundraising for the hospital where Phoebe Lollar of Heeley is being treated for a rare and aggressive brain cancer. She had a brain tumour the size of a tennis ball removed in February.
Dad, Matt, said: “This helps to give us a positive focus in what is an incredibly tough situation.”
