Tough contest as STEM families take up challenge

The race was on at Wales High School, when staff and pupils there hosted a STEM family fun challenge that involved building cars to compete.

Teams from local primary and secondary schools took part in assembling elastic powered cars then racing them on track.

The outright winner with the furthest racer launch was Theoden Wilson (Y6) from Todwick Primary who took away a trophy. Special congratulations went to Theo Caudwell (Y3) in third place, who was the youngest student present.

EDT and First Edition led the event and engineers from ARUP gave a careers talk.
