Top leadership award for Michelle

Michelle Fearon, service director in the specialist directorate at the trust, won Inspirational Leader of the Year at the annual NHS Leadership Recognition Awards.

She was nominated for her ‘exceptional leadership across a large and diverse range of complex clinical services and her sustained commitment to engagement with service users, carers and staff.’

“I’m very pleased and completely shocked to have won,” said Michelle.

“My focus is on making sure we are providing the best quality care for service users and it is a little overwhelming to receive this national recognition.”

The event was hosted by the NHS Leadership Academy and delivered in partnership with Guardian Jobs at a ceremony in London.
