Top honour for cell scientist

A CELL scientist from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals has been named Cytotechnologist of the year.

Nick Dudding is only the second British person to win the award from the International Academy of Cytology.

It is open to candidates worldwide and given to a Cytotechnologist of ‘exceptional merit’ honouring a life-long dedication to teaching.

Nick who works at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital is recognised for his training in cervical cancer screening and said he was ‘gobsmacked’ to win.
